Synopsis

The movie throws light on an unusual relationship that is shared between a father and a daughter. The movie opens with Bud Johnson, a single parent to his twelve year old daughter. Bud actually lives a carefree life but her daughter, Molly, tries her best to keep her dad on the straight and narrow. A sudden change in Bud’s life comes when her daughter insists him to vote for the presidential elections. All attention turns towards him when it’s determined that his vote will decide the winner of the elections.

25 September 2008: Not many present-day films advocate civic responsibility, so Joshua Stern’s fable deserves credit for its noble intentions.

Inevitably, it will be compared with Frank Capra’s classics Mr Smith Goes To Washington and Mr Deeds Goes To Town, but it’s no movie masterpiece - just a piece of solid, middle-of-the-road entertainment.

It boasts a couple of strong leading performances. Kevin Costner is usually at his best when portraying flawed working men with too much liking for the bottle, and here he follows in the tradition he set up in Bull Durham and Tin Cup.

‘Swing Vote‘ will actually make you think about your relationship with your dad. This movie beautifully explores the emotional aspect of father-daughter relationship. The movie also successfully sends across the message about fulfilling your civic duty towards your country. If nothing else, SWING VOTE is a reminder that even though politics may be a game, every single vote really does count.

Though the movie discusses quite serious issues, but it allows its viewers to enjoy the humor in every situation. The father daughter relationship was very touching in the movie. The movie also captures the essence of the good and bad of our political system

The movie was far above my expectations. Different concept and beautifully presented. The concept of the movie is very real and human, one can easily relate to it. Amazing movie and I will recommend it to everyone.

Both father and daughter did an amazing job in the movie. But I think it was Daughter Madeline Carroll, who stole the show. She was just awesome in every scene of the movie.

Synopsis

WALL•E first presents the plant to EVE while facing her directly. Later, when EVE replays the same scene in the Captain’s quarters, WALL•E is shown holding the plant from a 3/4 profile.

Eve’s facial dirt markings disappear and re-appear. Eve gets several dirty markings on her otherwise pristine white exterior while in the garbage hold. A long dark stain runs down the right side (her left) of her ‘eye screen’. When she flies WALL•E and M-O out of the garbage hold into the corridor, and is photographed aiming her weapon at the steward robot, and in shot when locking the steward away, the marking is clearly gone. Immediately after, as she is flying down the corridor, followed by a growing group of faulty robots, the mark reappears. During the battle with the large contingent of steward robots, in the beginning when she shoots a steward, the mark is gone, but as she shields herself when the ‘massage’ robot is let loose, the mark reappears.read more….

Movie Review

Well, movie has a plot which is simple, non-complicated and very much stimulating. It’s not a movie for people who love to see action and suspense. In fact, it has a unique plot which runs smoothly and every scene has something different to deliver. Some characters were not real and were included just for the movie purpose- Rose, Jack, Rose’s mother, her fiancé- all these were fictitious characters and were included to represent different sections of society. It’s a great representation of history where you know, what does gonna happen in end, but still you sit and watch it to the end.

Being very honest, I loved Rose’s appearance as compared to all other characters on the movie. She looks gorgeous and when she asks Jack to draw her painting, just wearing ‘The Heart of the Ocean’, it was a wonderful representation of pure love. In fact, every character was lovable and portrayed his/her role very well.
