Synopsis

The movie opens with Will (Matt Lanter), waking up from a nightmare predicting the end of the world. His dream begins to come true as a massive earthquake shakes the hall.

Soon he and his pals, try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event - asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, tornado, the works - hits the city and their path, as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction. Finally, after the whole lot of disaster, somehow, Will is able to stop the disaster and the movie ends with a wedding ceremony for Will and Amy.

Taking aim at everything and everyone, from “Indiana Jones” and “Iron Man” to Amy Winehouse and “High School Musical,” DISASTER MOVIE lampoons the blockbuster movie, pop culture icons and public figures along the way as Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer satirize everything as only they can.

Movie Review

‘Disaster Movie’ is a very unpredictable movie. No one is sure of what is happening when in the movie. Everything is on its viewers to guess. As the movie is aimed at teens, there is a lot of gay-oriented humor. Special effects in the movie are good enough.

As far as the acting is concerned, Lanter is likable in the movie. The girls- Vanessa Minnillo, Nicole Parker and Kim Kardashian, were able to show their acting talent. The movie would have been better if less disaster were shown. Anyways, the movie ends on a happy note, the only positive thing in the whole movie.
