Movie Error

When Brennan and Dale first meet on the front lawn, they stand and stare at each other for a while. With every shot change, it continues to change from either being sunny or shadowy in the spot where Brennan stands.

After the first dinner scene with the family, Dale finally decides to leave and head upstairs. He places his napkin down next to his plate. In the next shot it has vanished. It then reappears a few shots later.

In the dinner scene where Derek is over, he is telling a story to Robert about fishing. During the whole scene if you watch Alice who is sitting beside Derek, her wine glass repeatedly jumps from her hands to back on the table instantly.

In the christmas scene where they are decorating the tree, we see Robert eating a christmas-tree shaped biscuit. When he gets up, the biscuit is suddenly larger and more whole than before, where it was almost finished.read more….

Goofs

When Brennan is singing at the Wine Mixer, he holds a note that shatters the glass helicopter sculpture. A few moments later, when the scene shows his mom and step dad smiling at the end of the song, the sculpture is intact in the background.

At the Catalina Wine Mixer, the cover band “Uptown Girl” refuses to play “We Didn’t Start the Fire” because they only perform Billy Joel songs from the 80s. However, “We Didn’t Start the Fire” was released in 1989.

During the first dinner scene the ketchup bottle changes from being on top to being on bottom when they change angles.

During the school yard fight at the end of the movie it is quite obvious that the “students” are really much older stunt people.read more….
