Movie Review
‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’ is a cute dog movie. The best thing about the movie is, the dogs chatting with each other and in-fact the whole talking by the dogs is very convincing and likable. The movie is a comedy and it will make you laugh, when you see Chloe throwing tantrums on the people around her. Bedside this movie is a satire on spoiled pets. It also focuses on romance between dogs, on relationships and lessons of life for our dear Chloe to learn. The movie will remind you of other movies like 101 Dalmatians, Scooby-Doo. Overall, it is a fun watch with comedy, action and a bit of tears to follow if you have a soft corner for dogs. read more…

I went to see Hancock and I noticed in the lobby of the movie theater a poster for Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Not hearing of this movie before, I was curious because my second screenplay I’m working on is a family film about a dog, so I’m keeping my eye out for every dog movie being made.

At one point, Tugg says one actor may win a Teen Choice Award, and claims that “they’ll slime you and everything!”. Teen Choice Award winners get surfboards. The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards show is famous for sliming winners.
When Tugg Speedman talks to Kirk Lazarus, the backpack strap on his right shoulder is sometimes over the carabiner and sometimes beside it.
In the opening moments, we are told the location is “South East Vietnam.” Later the specific setting is Quang Tri. During the Vietnam War, Quang Tri was South Vietnam’s northernmost province. After reunification, it was in the middle of the country. Either way, Quang Tri is not in eastern Vietnam.
When Tugg Speedman talks to Kirk Lazarus, the backpack strap on his right shoulder is sometimes over the carabiner and sometimes beside it.
During one of the Les’ rampages via teleconference, his wedding ring disappears and reappears a couple of times.
Before Kirk’s group gets ready to set up camp after splitting up with Tugg, Jeff is seen holding his M60 by its strap. In the next shot, he’s holding the weapon itself in both arms. In the next shot, he’s holding it by the strap again.
After Tugg Speedman’s performance of ‘Simple Jack’, he is in a room cleaning off his makeup. When he wipes his face with a wet towel, most of the white is gone. However, when he turns around to meet little half-squat, it has reappeared.
The Gap only sells merchandise under its own label; therefore, Alpa Chino could have not sold a line of “Alpa Chino chinos” at The Gap, as he claims.
When Lazarus is talking to Tugg about ‘Simple Jack’ he claims that an actor should never go “full retard” and mentions Peter Sellers (”Being There”), Dustin Hoffman (”Rain Man”), Tom Hanks (”Forrest Gump”), and Sean Penn (”I Am Sam”) as examples. He claims that Sean Penn is the only one of those to go “full retard” and come away without an Oscar after being nominated. However, Peter Sellers did not win an Oscar for his role in “Being There” as well.
When Tran says “Ni sher ben don Jack,” he continues to say it as he turns to his crew/gang members, with “Ni” meaning “You.” He should have said, “Tah sher ben don Jack,” “Tah” meaning “He/She.”
When Jeff Portnoy sees the mountain of Heroin he runs over and puts his fingers up by it. If you look at his fingers you can clearly tell that he has already dipped his hands into the fixture; possibly from an earlier take.
In the scene where Pecker is talking to Tugg about the TiVo, Tugg’s slider phone alternates between open and closed.
Kevin Sandusky (Jay Baruchel) accidentally calls Jeff Portnoy’s character by his real name “Jack” (Jack Black) during the scene in which he falls on the ground to get sick (behind the rock).
Rambo Movie Goofs

In the beginning map scene, CALCUTTA is clearly spelled CALCUTA.
At the end of the movie Rambo kills the last bad guy by stabbing him in the stomach with his knife and slicing him open, yet a moment later when Rambo kicks him down the hill, there isn’t one drop of blood on his knife.
When one man moves to the tower to get a better shot he is seen using an AKS-47 with the stock completely folded, in the next scene he is firing a basic AK-47 with a fixed buttstock.
The “Tallboy” bomb that is shown in the movie appears only six to ten feet long. A real tallboy is a 21 foot bomb. They also show a rounded end cap on the back of the bomb, whereas the tallboy had a pointed cap after the fins.
After the final gun battle, Sarah leaves her position with the sniper, and we see her move quite a distance away as the sniper lifts his rifle. As they cut to a different angle of the sniper relaxing/packing up, we can clearly see Sarah’s head/hair in the lower right corner of the screen, only a foot or two away from the sniper.
In the final shoot out Myint fires a m/86 LAW although the weapon is still on safe and he has not got his finger on the trigger. He also holds the weapon totally wrong and looks over the sights. Especially funny since the instructions are printed on the tube and visible in the shot.
Near the end of the film when Sarah finds Michael, she looks over at Rambo and we see blood splattered on her head. In the next shot she looks over at School Boy and the blood is mysteriously gone.
Rambo’s boat has a hidden inboard motor at the stern, you can see the water churning from under the boat in views of the rear of the boat.![]()
When Rambo is using the .50 caliber machine gun in the final action scene, it runs out of bullets and makes several clicking sounds to indicate it is empty. The gun would only click empty once since the gun’s action only operates by firing, thus cycling the round and cocking the action. Only an electric gun like an air soft AEG could cycle in a manner that it would click repeatedly.
During the scene when Rambo is going to lead the tracking dogs away from the girl and Schoolboy, Schoolboy’s hat brim keeps changing how its bent in between shots. It changes from peaked to flat to a round shape.
In the final gun battle sequence, Rambo uses the jeep mounted gun to fire on the driver, and splatters blood all over the bullet shield. When he gets off of the machine gun, the bullet shield is mysteriously clean.
When John Rambo is passing by the empty boat that had previously attacked his party, the motor is clearly not running in one shot since the front pulley is not turning (23:54).
The “Tallboy” bomb was never used in the pacific theatre of operations. It was designed to smash German concrete structures and could only be dropped by a British Lancaster bomber, which didn’t operate in Burma.
During the ending gun battle scene when the camera switches to view the right side of En-joo (Tim Kang) you see a shot of the camera equipment behind him. (This is when he climbs up the steps to the upper tower for cover and better shooting position).

The Score of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony would not be titled “Ode to Joy”. The ode to joy is just the name of the tune, found in Beethoven’s sketch books, at the end of the fourth movement.
In the credits, Leonard Stern is credited as “Cesna Pilot.” The proper spelling is “Cessna.”
When Maxwell Smart is attempting to escape from jail, the radio in his cell is on. While he is fighting with the guards, it goes off on its own.

At the time of the symphony orchestra concert, the program stated Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and then an excerpt from Mozart’s 40th Symphony was heard.
When Max and Agent 99 are in Russia and stop at the gas station to steal a car, the sign on the gas station and on the gas pumps says “gazoline”. In Russia, gas is called “benzine” not “gazoline”.
When Max is free falling after 99 lets him go, you can briefly see a suit-colored parachute pack on the stunt man.
