Synopsis
The veteran and highly decorated New York Detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan are ready to hang up their badges when they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp. A four line poem justifying the killing is found near the body of suspected criminal. Murders that follow make it clear to the detectives that they are on the trail of a vigilante serial killer.

He is doing what cops can’t do on their own; take the criminals off the streets for good. You may call it De Niro’s obsession or dedication, but it makes him the prime suspect as the victims turn out to be the criminals who had managed to escape through the cracks of the judicial system. Nothing is what it seems. While his partner runs interference for him, he dallies with a much younger and smoking hot on-the-scene investigator (Carla Gugino). While they work to find a connection between cases they thought they solved years ago and recent murders, one nagging thought keep troubling them; did they put the wrong person behind the bars?

Movie Review
This movie is more about small details than big gestures. Besides being a perfect whodunit, it poses important and complex questions about how law operates in a so called civilized society. The film is fast paced and features the subtle performances by Al Pacino and De Niro. They share more scenes in this one than they did in ‘Heat’. Though movie tends to make us stretch our credulity a bit too far in certain parts but on the whole a good watch especially if one is interested in crime thrillers.

ust because Samuel Jackson decided not to act next to rapper/business mogul Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, doesn’t mean Oscar Award Winners Robert Deniro and Al Pacino will follow suit. Instead, they all team up for the new movie, ‘Righteous Kill’ and it is going to be a box office smash.
Trailer 3
Academy Award winners Robert De Niro (Raging Bull) and Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) star as a pair of veteran New York City police detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer in the adrenaline fueled psychological thriller Righteous Kill, directed by Jon Avnet (Red Corner, Fried Green Tomatoes) and written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man). The cast also features hip-hop superstar Curtis Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin’). After 30 years as partners in the pressure cooker environment of the NYPD, highly decorated Detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan should be ready for retirement, but aren’t. Before they can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp, which appears to have ties to a case they solved years before. Like the original murder, the victim is a suspected criminal whose body is found accompanied by a four line poem justifying the killing.
Trailer 4
When additional crimes take place, it becomes clear the detectives are looking for a serial killer, one who targets criminals that have fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. His mission is to do what the cops can’t do on their own—take the culprits off the streets for good. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars?
