Synopsis

The note that is given to Carrie letting her have the wedding dress is actually written by Vivienne Westwood herself.

In the scene when Carrie and Big are reading in bed, Patricia Field had initially dressed Sarah Jessica Parker in a t-shirt and leggings. However, Michael Patrick King was concerned they looked too comfortable. He said it was important to show the contrast between Steve and Miranda who weren’t having sex, and Carrie and Big who were.

Movie Error

When Carrie is feeling depressed in Mexico and is being fed food in bed by Samantha, there is a tea pot on the tray on the bed. The scene changes back and forth between Samantha and Carrie and each time it changes, the style of the tea pot completely changes. When it’s a shot of Samantha, it’s a regular tea pot with a lid, and when it’s a shot of Carrie, it changes to an art deco style pot with no lid whatsoever.

Louise, the personal assistant of Carrie, is showing Carrie where she puts the unopened mail. It’s in a cupboard next to the wall. Later, when Carrie is looking for mail from Big, she takes the mail from a cupboard next to the one Louise put it in.

When the girls are at the restaurant in Mexico and the waiter brings over the drinks, he first hands Charlotte the bottled water and then hands Samantha the drink. The camera pans back to the waiter holding the drinks and the bottle of water is still there along with 2 other drinks.

Early into the film, the girls walk on the street next to a white window shop. The reflection of the opposite sidewalk is that of a wooden barrier with hundreds of people (fans? Crew members?) behind; but when the angle changes, the barrier is gone and the sidewalk is filled with passers by.read more….

Goofs

In the scene where Carrie is going through her closet and asking the girls whether to “toss or take” an outfit, the bathroom door keeps changing from open to closed when she is wearing the iconic tutu!

After Magda tells Miranda that she remembers a neighborhood being largely Ukrainian, Carrie’s narration refers to the area as “Old Ukrainia” rather than Old Ukraine.

When the four girls are packing Carrie’s stuff into boxes, and Charlotte bumps into one of the stacks of boxes, it is obvious that they are empty.

In the scene where Carrie is making lists to plan the wedding the position of her Sharpie marker (clipped to her tank top) changes position several time during the shot.read more….

Co-writer Robert Smigel revealed that the movie was mostly written in the year 2000, but it was delayed after 9/11 due to the terrorist themes in the film.

A treat for Sandler fans. Last week when I went to see the movie, within five minutes I knew that it would be great and it was. The movie makes you laugh till the end. Besides the comedy part, the movie shows that there is still some hope for the Palestinians and the Jews. The movie has a lot of humor, though it is adult humor. But still it was entertaining and full of laughter. A must watch.

1. In one scene, Indy comments “I have a bad feeling about this.” This line was a running gag in George Lucas’ Star Wars saga, and was used by Harrison Ford at least once.
2. The young Henry nicknamed himself “Mutt, which is also a term for a dog. Indy named himself after a dog he had as a child that was called Indiana (as noted in the third movie). This is the first hint about their relationship.
3. When Indy and Mutt are riding the motorcycle through the study hall, they almost run over a nerdy, book-carrying student who gives the “Wilhelm Scream”. This classic scream has been frequently heard in movies for at least the past three decades.

Movie Error

1. The movie supposedly is taking place in 1957, yet the motorcycle that Mutt rides is based on a 2000 or newer Harley Davidson softail, showing the modern day controls and Twin Cam motor, instead of the panhead motor that would have been the period correct engine of 1957. It also has a front disc brake - you can see the master cylinder on the handlebars. Again, out of place on a 1957 bike.
2. In the warehouse scene, the lights and other metal objects are affected by the box’s magnetic field. Yet the soldiers easily lift the box into a metal truck to load it and slide it forward. If the box’s magnetic field was as strong as suggested, it would have dragged the soldiers forward as it was magnetically attracted to the truck, and it would have taken much more effort for them to slide it onto the truck bed once it was stuck there.
3. Indy and Mutt fly to Nazca, Peru. Nazca is only 4 hours away on bus from the capital Lima, yet the city they show on the movie is Cuzco, which is 24 hours away from Lima. Cuzco is on the east side of the country, Nazca is on the west coast right next to Lima. Also, back in 1957 only Lima had an airport, yet they show a Nazca airport that didn’t exist. read more…..

1. After the giant ant scene and Irina is hanging off the cliff by a rope with the other soldiers, a silver wire that is holding her up is seen leading down to Irina’s waist right next to the rope she is holding onto. It is seen for only a few short seconds.
2. During the scene in the diner when he is talking to Mutt, Indy’s shirt collar repeatedly moves from behind to in front of the lapel of his jacket.
3. In the scene where Indy and Mutt are in the café talking, Indiana is drinking coffee. When he sets down the mug the handle is pointed to Indy’s left hand side. From Mutt’s point of view the handle is pointing to Mutt’s left hand side.
4. When Indy and Mutt are in the restaurant, Indy’s left hand alternates between holding the coffee cup and resting on the table, depending on the direction of the view. read more….

Indiana Jones Brings The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull In October

Indiana Jones is the latest to join the October calendar of DVD releases, when this year’s return of the man with the hat makes its way to DVD and Blu-ray on October 14th. The re-release of Indy’s previous adventures may have been a double dip earlier this year, but they set the stage for a pretty promising release for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Indy Cracks His Whip Again In The Crystal Skull

25 September, 2008 After a small scuffle with a group of Soviet agents Professor Jones returns home to Marshall College where he is informed that his recent activities have led to his dismissal from the university. But that’s okay; more time for whip-cracking adventures! Indiana runs into rebellious young Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf) who pleads with Jones to help save his mother who is somewhere in South America. In true Indy fashion, the duo heads to a land of ancient tombs and lost explorers where they cross paths with the group of Soviet agents led by Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett). Spalko is on the trail of the Crystal Skull, which she believes will bring the Soviets world domination. So, now Indy must navigate a mysterious land, tussle with his enemies and keep a close eye on questionable friends all while making sure the Crystal Skull does not fall into the wrong hands.

I was so happy when I heard that Indiana Jones is back, that also after such a long break. I still remember how excited as a kid, I use to be to watch his movies. The excitement is still there now that I am a grown up. I was completely satisfied with the movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It has all the elements of Indiana movie including suspense, thrill, adventure and action. The comedy in the movie was outstanding, though it was not intended. To me it was a pleasant movie full of entertainment. I would suggest others also to watch and enjoy the movie in a true Indiana spirit. Bruce

When the Pevensies are outside their treasure chamber in Cair Paravel, Peter tears off a piece of his shirt to make a makeshift torch. A few shots later, once they’re in the chamber, the missing piece has gotten bigger.

In the scene where Miraz tells Glozelle to murder three of his men (right after Miraz and Sopespian are walking to their horses), Miraz’s collar on his blue jacked repeatedly switches from folded down to straight up in consecutive shots.

In the Pevensies’ treasure chamber, there is a giant rock on top of Peter’s treasure chest. When he opens the chest, there is no sound of the rock hitting the ground.

When Miraz talks to Dr. Cornelius about Susan’s horn, he drives an arrow into a pile of parchment, and it sticks out slanted. A few shots later when Miraz talks to Lord Sopespian, the arrow sticks up straight.read more…..

When Caspian enters Miraz’s room at night, during the raid of the castle, the camera pulls out to a shot where Caspian is standing over Miraz in bed. A camera shadow is visible on Caspian’s shoulder.

When the Pevensies are outside their treasure chamber in Cair Paravel, Peter tears off a piece of his shirt to make a makeshift torch. After Edmund takes out his flashlight, the camera once again shows Peter. The missing piece of his shirt has gotten bigger and is also on the wrong side.

When our heroes are spying on the bad guys who are busy building artillery it is easy to see that the logs they are hiding behind have been limbed with a saw, not an ax which would be much quicker and more evident to an army in a hurry. September 27, 2008: n The Asylum and House of Horrors, corner of Lloyd Expressway and Fulton Avenue, 7-10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Cost is $10 for both haunted houses, $3 for “The Last Ride” and $5 for The Creature. For ages 4-12, The Creature will be open noon to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. For the adult version, The Creature will be open 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen Beast Cancer Foundation.

Movie Review

I am a huge fan of the Narnia books and movies. When I heard that a second part is being made I was really excited. After watching the movie, I felt that the movie actually missed out on many details that were there in the book. But beside the details the movie was excellently made and was thoroughly entertaining. It had amazing visuals, very good action and the acting part was remarkable. This part keeps up to the standards of Narnia movies and I hope that they make another part to it soon.

I was not very impressed with the story line but the movie had awesome special effects. Agreed that it is not as good as the first one, but I still enjoyed the movie and never felt that it was boring or was being dragged at any time. Definitely you can watch it once.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is a story of liberation and re-establishment with some intriguing aspects of Narnian history, culture, and mythology.

This one is more entertaining, exciting and energetic than the previous one. Especially the fight scenes, they were beautifully done. I don’t know about others but I found this one more entertaining than the previous one. Except for the storyline which was more political this time, the movie is great.
